Description
A bull moose stands knee-deep in still water, antlers spread wide, with pines and rounded rocks along the shore, reeds at the edge and his reflection broken into ripples below. Behind him a speckled full moon hangs among faint crosshair marks, two small birds and a few lines of handwritten field-note script, so the scene reads like a page from an explorer's journal. It is all one stamp, about 3.5" x 4.65", which fills the front of an A2 card on its own and leaves just enough room for one of the four one-line sentiments. This is the card for the guy who is hard to make cards for, whether it is his birthday, his retirement or a big new chapter. Stamp it in black or a deep brown and watercolor only the moose, the moon and the treeline, leaving the field-note marks uncolored so they stay crisp.
