A clapboard cottage under deep snow, wreath on the red door, windows lit from inside, smoke curling out of the brick chimney and two bare trees leaning in over a split-rail fence. It runs 3.95 by 2.6 inches across, so the house is the card front and everything else is trim. Four sentiments come with it, all pointed at the same idea, from "Where love lives, Christmas follows." to "Merry everything from our home to yours." Reach for it on family Christmas cards, first-Christmas-in-a-new-house notes, and the card that goes to the people whose house you wish you were at. The roofline and drifts are mostly open white, so a pale blue wash or a light grey shadow does more for it than heavy coloring.
