A full card front in one stamp: this Background of the Month measures approximately 4.25 by 5.5 inches, the size of an A2 card. The scene is a fieldstone fireplace with a rough timber mantel and a fire burning in the arched hearth, with the arm of an easy chair and a fringed throw blanket in the foreground. Stamp it as the backdrop for stockings, a sleeping dog or a mug of cocoa from another set, or let it stand alone for cozy winter, new home and masculine cards. Use a stamp platform so you can re-ink and press twice, since a background this large needs even coverage. A brown or charcoal ink keeps the stonework soft.
