Lisa Arana drew Dad from behind, settled into a folding camp chair at the end of a dock with his hat on, his rod out over the lake and a tackle bag at his side. A line of pines on the far shore reflects in the water. The fishing scene measures approximately 2.75 by 3.25 inches and comes with a bold stencil “DAD” plus three typewriter lines: “Happy Father’s Day,” “it’s a good day to have a good day” and “keep living the good life.” That last one turns it into a retirement or birthday card for any fisherman. Blend a little blue ink across the water and sky and leave the figure in black.

Fathers Day or just fishing memories
