Halloween cards in bulk, without the grind
Halloween is a batch-making holiday: one design, twenty cards, a class list of treat bags. Red rubber is the right tool for that. Deep etching keeps fine lines open on the twentieth impression as cleanly as the first, and cling mounting lets you set the stamp in a MISTI or similar platform and re-ink without shifting. Ink and paper that make Halloween pop
Black cardstock is the Halloween move, and it needs the right ink. Use a white or metallic pigment ink, or white embossing powder over a clear pigment pad, and let the platform do the double-stamp for solid coverage. On kraft and white stock, a rich black dye ink with orange, purple and acid green accents reads as Halloween from across the room. Glow-in-the-dark embossing powder over a ghost image is a trick worth trying once; the kids will ask for it every year after.
Dies, backgrounds and the rest of the kit
Most Halloween sets have coordinating dies cut to the artwork, so you can stamp a ghost or pumpkin and pop it out without scissor work, then layer it on a stamped background. Prefer a cutting machine? The same shapes are available as digital cut files.
